  • snāpayām cakre — he bathed
Periphrastic perfect of √snā causative (to cause to bathe). Śrutadeva 'bathed' himself and his household — but with the most precious water imaginable. The verb is normal; the substance is supreme. Gauḍīyas read this as the model for caraṇa-amṛta-sevā in temple worship.
  • uddharṣaḥ — overjoyed
Compound: ut (upward) + dharṣa (joy). Same word as in v. 27–29 (ut-dharṣa for Bahulāśva). The Bhāgavata uses identical vocabulary for king and brāhmaṇa — sama-darśana even in word-choice.
  • labdha-sarva-manaḥ-rathaḥ — having attained all desires
Compound: labdha (obtained) + sarva (all) + manaḥ-ratha (mind's chariot, i.e., desire). Manaḥ-ratha is a poetic synonym for 'wish.' Śrutadeva has obtained all his mind's-chariots — Bhagavān is the destination at which every desire was secretly pointing.
  • mahā-bhāgaḥ — very pious
Compound: mahā (great) + bhāga (fortune, share). 'Of great share.' The Bhāgavata's standard honorific for advanced bhaktas. Cf. SB 1.7.10 (Vyāsa to Śaunaka). Śrutadeva is mahā-bhāga because his share of Bhagavān is great.
With the wash water, the virtuous Śrutadeva copiously sprinkled himself, his house and his family. Overjoyed, he felt that all his desires had now been fulfilled.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
With the wash water, the virtuous Śrutadeva copiously sprinkled himself, his house and his family. Overjoyed, he felt that all his desires had now been fulfilled.
Commentary

He worshipped them by offering fruit such as amalaki, by arghya (arahana), by usira root, by fragrant camphor (sita), by water sweet as nectar, and other items which could easily be obtained (yatha upapannaya), and by pure food (andhasa) which increased sattva guna.

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

He sprinkled himself with the water from Kṛṣṇa’s feet which was otherwise unobtainable by him. Śukadeva expresses his respect by calling him most fortunate (mahā-bhāgaḥ). He was overjoyed because his desires were now fulfilled.

Śrīdhara Svāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

He was most fortunate or had attained a portion of bhakti (mahā-bhāgaḥ). In great joy, he bathed himself and his family in that water. By that he had attained all his desires.

The poor brāhmaṇa sprinkles foot-water on himself, his house, his family — copiously. The wealth of Bhagavān's residence is liquid, sprinkleable, and meant for every corner. No portion of his life is left un-touched.
