  • sarva-ātmanā prapannāḥ — wholeheartedly surrendered
Compound: sarva + ātman (with all the self) + prapanna (one who has taken shelter). Sarva-ātmanā prapatti is the Gauḍīya gold standard — surrender with every faculty, not partial dedication. Cf. Gītā 18.66, sarva-dharmān parityajya.
  • amala-āśayāḥ — pure-minded
Compound: amala (spotless) + āśaya (heart, intention). The same amala that v. 34 named in amala-ātmānaḥ. Gauḍīyas read this as the chapter's recurring epistemic key: bhakti operates only through hearts cleared of stain.
  • preṣṭham īśvaram — dearmost Lord
Compound: preṣṭha (most dear) + īśvara. The Gauḍīya pairing of intimacy and authority — Bhagavān is both kānta (beloved) and svāmī (master) in one address. Mādhurya-rasa specializes in this dual hold.
  • munayaḥ — sages
From √man (to think) — those who muse, contemplate. The munis are added to Śiva's coalition. Gauḍīyas note: when the topmost demigod and the topmost contemplatives agree on prapatti, the doctrinal verdict is sealed.
I, Lord Brahmā, the other demigods and the pure-minded sages have all surrendered wholeheartedly unto You, our dearmost Self and Lord.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
I, Lord Brahmā, the other demigods and the pure-minded sages have all surrendered wholeheartedly unto You, our dearmost Self and Lord.
Commentary

"I have forgiven whatever you have done. Now, what will you and the devatas accompanying you do?" By describing the lord as supersoul, dearmost and the Supreme Lord, he informs the lord that he was condemning himself as the person who drinks poison in the previous verse, having given up the amrta, and having fought with the Lord for the sake of Banasura who is not paramatma, not dear and not the supreme controller.

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

This insignificant person does not worship you. Even we who are perfect worship you. By not worshipping you, he destroys himself. I and Brahmā who have attained the highest positions by accepting to be guṇāvatāras, devarṣis (vibudhā), brahmarṣis (munayaḥ) and ātmārāmas whose hearts are clean or are fixed in Brahman take shelter of you with complete conviction and worship you since you are the root svarūpa (ātmānam), dearest of all, and the Lord.

Śrīdhara Svāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

Therefore we, the devatās headed by Indra, and even the sages headed by Sanaka, who all take shelter of you with dedication, worship you, because of which they have pure hearts. Without the surrender they cannot become pure. Or the sages purify their hearts of Advaita contamination. Without surrender, one has the great fault of ungratefulness. Thus they surrender fully to you.

When the lower courts are settled, the higher court announces its allegiance. Śiva closes his case by speaking for all the demigods, the sages, the pure-minded — every level of governance lines up behind one decree: 'we have surrendered, sarva-ātmanā, to You.'
