anurūpam

suitable
Anu (following) + rūpa (form). 'A suitable man' — the very word Rukmiṇī will throw back at Him in v. 43 ('tvām anurūpam'). The chapter sets up a verbal exchange around this single term: He says find someone suitable; she says I have.

bhajasva

please accept
Imperative of √bhaj. The bhakti-verb (cf. mām bhajasva, BG 9.34) — to render loving service. He uses it in its surface sense ('accept as husband') but the doctrinal weight is staggering: He is directing bhajana away from Himself, an impossibility uttered as test.
Lord Kṛṣṇa continues to tease His beautiful wife, trying to provoke her loving anger.
"Whatever has happened has happened. But since you are still young, there is no loss for you even now. Right now (atha) you should use your intelligence, and choose a suitable ksatriya husband."
After having stated his unsuitability as a husband what he now says, since it is impossible, is a joke directed at Rukmiṇī, who has a soft heart. You should serve only a person of similar qualities, a great kṣatriya. By him you will attain your fixed or highest (satyāḥ) desires.
You should serve only a person of similar qualities, a great kṣatriya like Arjuna, born in the dynasty of Puru. By him you will attain your fixed or highest (satyāḥ) desires.
A husband, straight-faced, tells his wife: 'You should remarry someone more suitable.' The absurdity of the suggestion is the proof of its joke. To Lakṣmī, who has no Other, He offers an Other — and the offer cannot land, because there is no place in her to receive it.
