యమాహుర్వాసుదేవాంశం హైహయానాం కులాన్తకమ్ । త్రి:సప్తకృత్వో య ఇమాం చక్రే ని:క్షత్రియాం మహీమ్ ॥ ౧౪ ॥

yam āhur vāsudevāṁśaṁ

haihayānāṁ kulāntakam

[haihayaanaam kulaantakam]

triḥ-sapta-kṛtvo ya imāṁ

[trih-sapta-kritvo ya imaam]

cakre niḥkṣatriyāṁ mahīm

Learned scholars accept this Paraśurāma as the celebrated incarnation of Vāsudeva who annihilated the dynasty of Kārtavīrya. Paraśurāma killed all the kṣatriyas on earth twenty-one times.

Translation

Learned scholars accept Paraśurāma as a portion of Vāsudeva, destroyer of the dynasty of Kārtavīrya. [Note: He is a śaktyāveśa form according to Laghu-bhāgavatāmṛta.] Paraśurāma killed all the kṣatriyas on earth twenty-one times.
