శ్రీహిరణ్యకశిపురువాచ అమ్బామ్బ హే వధూ: పుత్రా వీరం మార్హథ శోచితుమ్ । రిపోరభిముఖే శ్లాఘ్య: శూరాణాం వధ ఈప్సిత: ॥ ౨౦ ॥
śrī-hiraṇyakaśipur uvāca
[shree-hiranyakashipur uvaacha]
ambāmba he vadhūḥ putrā
[ambaamba he vadhooh putraa]
vīraṁ mārhatha śocitum
[veeram maarhatha shochitum]
ripor abhimukhe ślāghyaḥ
[ripor abhimukhe shlaaghyah]
śūrāṇāṁ vadha īpsitaḥ
[shooraanaam vadha eepsitah]

Translation
Hiraṇyakaśipu said: My dear mother, sister-in-law and nephews! You should not lament for the death of the great hero, for a hero's death in front of his enemy is glorious and desirable. Vadhūḥ means the wife of his brother.
