  • mumucuḥ — they released
Perfect of √muc — to release. The same verb that names liberation (mokṣa). Gauḍīyas note the play: the flowers' release coincides with Śiva's release — both are mokṣa in different keys.
  • puṣpa-varṣāṇi — rains of flowers
Contiguous (puṣpa + varṣāṇi). Cosmic celebration. Same image of varṣaṇa Hari's voice carried in v.31 (amṛta-varṣiṇā). The chapter rains nectar through speech, and now rains petals through sky.
  • hate pāpe vṛka-asure — the sinful Vṛkāsura having been killed
Contiguous-join (hate + pāpe + vṛka + asure). Three locatives stacked: 'in (the event of) sinful Vṛkāsura being killed.' Bhāgavatam grammar of relief — the conditional cleared, the action exhaled.
  • mocitaḥ — freed
Past participle of √muc. Same root again. Mahādeva — Lord of liberation — is here the one liberated. The structural humility of the chapter: even Mocaka can need mocana, and Hari provides it.
  • saṅkaṭāt — from the narrow pass / danger
Ablative of saṅkaṭa. Fourth and final sounding of the chapter's drumbeat-word (v.13, 16, 22-context, here). The chapter ends saṅkaṭa-free; the doctrine has been performed.
The celestial sages, Pitās and Gandharvas rained down flowers to celebrate the killing of sinful Vṛkāsura. Now Lord Śiva was out of danger.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

They shouted “Victory” because Śiva was released from danger by the Lord. Or “He was release from danger” shows the conclusion.

Śrīdhara Svāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

None They shouted “Victory” because Śiva was released from danger by the Lord. Or “He was release from danger” shows the conclusion.

When a quiet poison is finally drawn out of a kingdom's well, the gardeners come out and strew flowers over the courtyard — not because killing is happy, but because the threat was real and now is not. The devas, the pitṛs, the gandharvas all rain blossoms; Mahādeva is loosed from the saṅkaṭa that has shadowed the chapter from verse 13.
