Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.84.27
Blended reading (Sanskrit + English inline)
-
dāśārham
—
Kṛṣṇa, the descendant of Daśārha
Daśārha was an ancestor in the Yadu line. Gauḍīyas note that Kṛṣṇa's many vamśa-titles — Dāśārha, Vṛṣṇi-vīra, Yadu-nandana — register that He has voluntarily entered into a human lineage; the names anchor His incarnation in actual genealogy.
-
anujñāpya
—
having taken permission to leave
anu + √jñā in causative + ya. The sādhu does not depart without permission. Gauḍīyas treat anujñā as a small but important sign of saṅga-dharma: the relationship is honored on both ends of the visit.
-
rāja-ṛṣe
—
O sage among kings
Address to Parīkṣit. The Bhāgavatam never lets the reader forget that this entire transmission is happening between Śuka and a king-sage. Gauḍīyas read Parīkṣit as the model śrotā — the perfect listener of hari-kathā in his last seven days.
-
āśramān
—
to the hermitages
From ā + √śram (to exert). The disciplined retreats. Gauḍīyas note that the āśrama is not anti-world but a workshop for the world's renewal: ṛṣis go back to āśramas to refill what they spend in sat-saṅga.
Saying this special information, they then asked permission to depart from Svayam Bhagavān who had appeared in the Dāśārha family, for Dhratrāṣtṛa and Yudhiṣṭhira. Dhṛtarāṣṭra is mentioned because he was sitting there, was blind, was the younger brother of Vyāsa, and made them remember Yudhiṣṭhira. The sages desired to return home, to teach bhakti their disciples and followers in their āśramas, according to the desire of the Lord. O sage among kings! You know such desires.
Saying this special information, or asking permission to depart from Svayam Bhagavān who had appeared in the Dāśārha family to manifest his powers. The sages wanted to return to their places to give instructions of bhakti to their students and followers. O sage among kings! You know the nature of the sages.
After the discourse, the sages do not linger to be praised — they ask leave and turn toward their āśramas, like rivers that, having delivered their water to the sea, climb back into the clouds to fall as rain elsewhere. The mark of a sādhu is that he keeps moving toward the next sevā.
