  • dakṣiṇām — gifts in gratitude
Feminine accusative of dakṣiṇā. The completing gift to a priest — without it, the yajña does not 'close'. Vedic culture: a yajña without dakṣiṇā is technically aphalā. Gauḍīyas extend: bhakti also requires dakṣiṇā — the giving back of the heart to guru.
  • vidhi - vat — according to scriptural injunctions
Returning the word from verse 12 and 16. The Bhāgavatam re-marks the precision: the whole frame is Vedic-orthodox; the new content (Kṛṣṇa first) sits inside an exactly Vedic vessel.
  • avabhṛtham — the purificatory bath ending the sacrifice
From ava + √bhṛ (to bring down). The descent-bath; the yajamāna immerses himself and the utensils. Marks the formal close. Gauḍīyas: the avabhṛtha of bhakti is daily nāma-snāna — the bath of the holy name.
  • eka - rāṭ — the emperor
Compound: eka (one) + rāj (king, ruling). 'Sole sovereign'. Yudhiṣṭhira is now eka-rāṭ. The Rājasūya has done what it names — it has birthed an emperor.
Emperor Yudhiṣṭhira gave generous gifts to the sacrificial priests and the members of the assembly, properly honoring them all in the manner prescribed by the Vedas. He then took the avabhṛtha bath.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Emperor Yudhiṣṭhira gave generous gifts to the sacrificial priests and the members of the assembly, properly honoring them all in the manner prescribed by the Vedas. He then took the avabhṛtha bath.
Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

With the destruction of all obstacles the sacrifice was completed nicely. The king took the avabhṛtha bath, a concluding act for the sacrifice. Yudhiṣṭhira had now attained his kingdom. He was the sole ruler (eka-rāṭ).

Jiva

When a host has thrown a great feast, he does not slip away before the kitchen is bowed to. Yudhiṣṭhira gives dakṣiṇā to every ṛtvik and sadasya — the avabhṛtha-snāna only seals what was already a wholeness.
