  • dam - patī — the couple
Compound — husband and wife as a pair. The marriage is now a unit; the Bhāgavatam shifts from singular to dual. Gauḍīya: the dvandva of dam-patī is one of the household's stable rasa-structures.
  • sneha - praklinna - hṛdayaḥ — his heart melting with affection
Compound sneha (affection) + praklinna (melting) + hṛdaya (heart). Gauḍīya: sneha is itself a stage of prema in Rūpa Gosvāmī's rasa-śāstra; the father's melting is rasa-śāstra-recognizable bhāva.
  • yāpayām āsa — he sent
Causative of √yā — caused them to depart. The verb is gentle: he did not let them go so much as send them. Gauḍīya: a Vaiṣṇava family does not abandon a daughter to her husband; the household sends, with full continuing care.
The King of Kośala, his heart melting with affection, had the bride and groom seated on their chariot, and then he sent them on their way surrounded by a great army.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
The King of Kośala, his heart melting with affection, had the bride and groom seated on their chariot, and then he sent them on their way surrounded by a great army.
Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

The king had the couple surrounded by a great army because his heart was extremely moist (praklinna) with tears caused by his affection.

A father's heart melts when he sends his daughter — the love that raised her dissolves into the wave that carries her away. Kośala-pati's softening is the universal posture of every father in a Vaiṣṇava marriage.
