Important Words
-
śeṣām
—
the remnants
Accusative of śeṣa (remainder). Śeṣa-bhojana is the bhakta's classical posture — eating what has been offered first. Gauḍīyas connect this to Ananta-Śeṣa-tattva: the devotee is also a śeṣa, a remainder serving the master.
-
āśiṣaḥ
—
blessings
Accusative plural of āśis (benediction). The blessings of elder devotees are considered in Gauḍīya texts to have direct potency — vaiṣṇavera kṛpā parama dhana. The brāhmaṇīs' āśis is functioning as the operative cause of Rukmiṇī's coming union with Kṛṣṇa.
-
vadhūḥ
—
the bride
Nominative of vadhū. The first time in this stretch she is called simply 'the bride' — Vyāsa is preparing the transition: she has performed the goddess's pūjā as a girl and steps out as a bride.
The ladies gave the bride the remnants of the offerings and then blessed her. She in turn bowed down to them and the deity and accepted the remnants as prasādam.

Gauḍīya
Translation
The ladies gave the bride the remnants of the offerings and then blessed her. She in turn bowed down to them and the deity and accepted the remnants as prasādam.
Commentary
Rukmini offered respects to Ambika and took her prasada garland remnants (sesam).
Jīva Gosvāmī
Gauḍīya
Commentary
She offered respects to Durgā and the women.
Śrīdhara Svāmī
Gauḍīya
Commentary
The women gave her the remnants with joy and respect. She bowed to them and to Durgā. It is forbidden to accept the remnants from the devatās, but there is no fault for an unmarried girl to do so (vadhūḥ).

Analogy
The elder women hand the bride the goddess's prasāda — and she eats what the Lord's wife (Ambikā) and the Lord's brāhmaṇas have first received. Prasāda-paramparā in miniature: nothing is taken first; everything passes through the senior devotees and the deity first.
