  • sārūpyam — the liberation of having the same form
Compound: sa (with) + rūpa (form) + ya (state). The fourth of the five mokṣas. Gauḍīya doctrine: sārūpya is one of the lower mukti-rungs because it stops at form-identity; bhāva-identity (Vraja-prema) reaches higher.
  • prasannaḥ — satisfied
Past participle of pra + √sad — to be settled, pleased. Kṛṣṇa's prasannatā is the giver of all benediction. Echoes the Bhāgavatam's standard tat-prasāda formula — by His pleasure, everything is given.
  • smṛti-indriyam — strength of memory and senses
Compound: smṛti (memory) + indriya (sense). The weaver gets sharp memory and acute senses — the practical infrastructure of bhajana. Gauḍīyas: memory of Kṛṣṇa (smaraṇa) is one of the nine bhakti-aṅgas (SB 7.5.23); strong smṛti is sādhana-equipment.
  • ātmanaḥ — as Himself
Genitive of ātman. The weaver's new form is patterned after the Lord's own form. Gauḍīya parsing: the ātman of Bhagavān includes His vigraha — sac-cid-ānanda-vigraha is personal, with form, not a formless absolute.
Pleased with the weaver, the Supreme Lord Kṛṣṇa blessed him that after death he would achieve the liberation of attaining a form like the Lord’s, and that while in this world he would enjoy supreme opulence, physical strength, influence, memory and sensory vigor.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Pleased with the weaver, the Supreme Lord Kṛṣṇa blessed him that after death he would achieve the liberation of attaining a form like the Lord's, and that while in this world he would enjoy supreme opulence, physical strength, influence, memory and sensory vigor.
Commentary

Pleased, Krsna immediately endowed the weaver with alert senses, memory, power, strength and a spiritual body of a cowherd.

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

The Lord especially gave (pra—adāt) him (tasya) a spiritual form like his own. The possessive case is used (tasya) instead of the dative case (tasmai) to show that the weaver was qualified for obtaining a spiritual form and planet because of his bhakti. In this life (loke) the weaver would attain the greatest wealth, strength, power, memory and strong senses. What to speak of his next life! Or he gave him these blessings in the presence of others (loke). The prefix pra (very much) indicates that he gave a special form, that of a cowherd (ātmanaḥ). He would have wealth greater (śriyam paramām) than that of Brahmā. The word ca indicates that he also got the highest power etc. all together at once, in the manner of Kubjā. This was possible because Kṛṣṇa is Bhagavān.

Jiva

The weaver, who knew the contour of cloth, is given a body in Vaikuṇṭha that matches the contour of Bhagavān Himself — sārūpya as the perfected version of his trade. Bhagavān returns the gift in the exact key the giver gave it.

Sārūpya as one of the five liberations

The Bhāgavatam classifies five mokṣa-types: sālokya (same world as the Lord), sārṣṭi (same opulence), sāmīpya (close proximity), sārūpya (same form), and sāyujya (merger). Gauḍīyas accept all five — except the last, sāyujya, which Caitanya-line ācāryas reject because merging dissolves the personal relation that bhakti requires.

The weaver receives sārūpya — a four-armed body like Viṣṇu's. In Gauḍīya hierarchy this is high but not highest; the gopīs' bhāva exceeds even this. Vyāsa records it precisely: small sevā, calibrated reward.
