  • mat-rūpāṇi — My forms
Compound: mat (My) + rūpa (form). The plural is critical — Bhagavān's forms are many. Gauḍīyas distinguish svarūpa (Kṛṣṇa's own form) from vibhūti-rūpas (His expansions in the world). The bhakta-brāhmaṇa sees both as His.
  • mat-īkṣayā — by his perception of Me
Compound: mat (My) + īkṣayā (by vision). 'By the vision that sees Me everywhere.' Bhagavān grants the īkṣā; the brāhmaṇa receives and maintains it. Gauḍīyas: sama-darśana of v. 26 is rooted in this same īkṣā.
  • cara-acaram — moving and nonmoving
Compound: cara (moving) + acara (nonmoving). The standard śāstric dichotomy for all beings. The brāhmaṇa-bhakta sees Bhagavān in both — in the trees and in the animals, in the rivers and in the cows.
  • hetavaḥ — sources (causes)
Plural of hetu (cause). The 'sources' — the primary elements of creation. The brāhmaṇa sees even the causal categories as Kṛṣṇa's forms. Sāṅkhya-tattvas are Bhagavān's emanations.
Because he has realized Me, a brāhmaṇa is firmly fixed in the knowledge that everything moving and nonmoving in the universe, and also the primary elements of its creation, are all manifest forms expanded from Me.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Because he has realized Me, a brāhmaṇa is firmly fixed in the knowledge that everything moving and nonmoving in the universe, and also the primary elements of its creation, are all manifest forms expanded from Me.
Commentary

This verse describes the qualities of the brahmana. The special brahmana endowed with direct realization of me (mad iskaya), such as Narada, knows that this universe and its causes (hetavah), the objects (bhava) such as mahat tattva, are forms of me.

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

Having showed how they are great devotees, he shows the cause of seeing them non-different from himself. Rūpa means “that within which things manifest.” Thus rūpāni here means resting places. The brāhmaṇa realizes fully (ā-dhatte) in his heart that I am the basis of the material universe since it arises from one of my manifestations (mad-īkṣayā). sarva-bhūteṣu yaḥ paśyed bhagavad-bhāvam ātmanaḥ bhūtāni bhagavaty ātmany eṣa bhāgavatottamaḥ The most advanced devotee sees Supreme Lord, one’s object of worship, within everything, and sees everything in the Supreme Lord. SB 11.2.45 māṁ hi pārtha vyapāśritya ye ’pi syuḥ pāpa-yonayaḥ striyo vaiśyās tathā śūdrās te ’pi yānti parāṁ gatim O son of Pṛthā, those who take shelter in me, though they be of lower birth—women, vaiśyas and śūdras —can attain the supreme destination. BG 9.32

Śrīdhara Svāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

He shows how the best mahā-bhāgavata is his very self. The brāhmaṇa holds firmly in his heart the idea that the universe, its transformations and its causes are situated in me (mad-rūpāni), because of my glance. Without that glance, the universe does not exist.

The realized brāhmaṇa holds in his mind one unbroken vision — every moving and non-moving thing in the universe is My form. Vaiṣṇava-vedānta in one sentence: the world is real and is Bhagavān's expansion, not illusion.
