  • dundubhayaḥ — kettledrums
Deep-voiced sacrificial drums. Their resounding marks the moment of cosmic approval — the Bhāgavatam's standard signal that what just happened was right.
  • mumucuḥ — they released
Perfect of √muc — the same root as mokṣa. Heaven 'releases' flowers; Gauḍīyas catch the small echo: real worship gives release, even the demigods loosen what they hold.
  • puṣpa-varṣāṇi — downpours of flowers
Compound: puṣpa (flower) + varṣa (rain). The repeated motif of this section. The Bhāgavatam is unembarrassed about beauty as theology's signature.
  • deva-ṛṣi-pitṛ-mānavāḥ — demigods, sages, forefathers, humans
Quadruple compound — four classes united in one act. Vaiṣṇava dharma unifies what other frames separate; the avabhṛtha is sociology made vertical.
The kettledrums of the gods resounded, along with those of human beings. Demigods, sages, forefathers and humans all poured down showers of flowers.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
The kettledrums of the gods resounded, along with those of human beings. Demigods, sages, forefathers and humans all poured down showers of flowers.
Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

The devatās, sages, Pitṛs and humans showered flowers. The list is from best (devatās) to lesser beings (humans).

When earthly drums and divine drums sound together, it is not coincidence — it is acknowledgement. The two worlds agree, briefly, that this man's offering is worth answering. The acknowledgement will not last; envy is already across the room.
