Important Words
-
brahma-ghoṣeṇa
—
with the sound of the Vedas
Compound: brahma (the Veda) + ghoṣa (sound). The Vedic śabda is itself a form of Bhagavān (śabda-brahman). Gauḍīyas treat correct Vedic recitation as a body of the Lord — never mere ritual noise.
-
deva-ṛṣi-pitṛ
—
demigods, sages, forefathers
Triple compound — three classes of unseen guests at every sacrifice. Their pleased presence (signaled by the flower-rain) confirms the yajña is valid.
-
tuṣṭuvuḥ
—
they recited praises
Perfect of √stu. Stuti is the natural overflow of seeing dharma succeed. The Gauḍīya frame: when a Vaiṣṇava king is honored, even the demigods become kīrtaniyas.
-
puṣpa-varṣiṇaḥ
—
raining down flowers
Compound: puṣpa (flowers) + varṣin (raining). The unmistakable Purāṇic sign of cosmic approval. Heaven votes by petal-fall.
The assembly officials, the priests and other excellent brāhmaṇas resoundingly vibrated Vedic mantras, while the demigods, divine sages, Pitās and Gandharvas sang praises and rained down flowers.

Translation
The assembly officials, the priests and other excellent brāhmaṇas resoundingly vibrated Vedic mantras, while the demigods, divine sages, Pitās and Gandharvas sang praises and rained down flowers.

Commentary
The devatās and sages are also described. Dvija-śreṣṭgāḥ refers to brāhmaṇas other than the priests or to best of the three upper varṇas. The Gandharvas sprinkled fḷowers.

Analogy
When Vedic mantras sound and flowers fall from above at the same instant, the two worlds — earthly and celestial — are momentarily transparent to each other. Bhakti makes this porousness ordinary; the yajña makes it visible.
