  • akāmāya — for freedom from desire
Dative of a-kāma (without desire). The Bhāgavatam's signature spiritual ambition: akāmaḥ sarva-kāmo vā (SB 2.3.10) — whether desireless or desire-laden, all should worship Him. Rukmiṇī is the akāma type; her boons will all be of that shape.
  • nityadā — always
Adverb: continuously, perpetually. The boons are not occasional — they are nityadā, eternally yours. Gauḍīyas read this as the announcement that her relation with Him is nitya-siddha, eternally accomplished, not merely temporally formed.
Whatever benedictions you hope for in order to become free of material desires are ever yours, O fair and noble lady, for you are My unalloyed devotee.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Whatever benedictions you hope for in order to become free of material desires are ever yours, O fair and noble lady, for you are My unalloyed devotee.
Commentary

"Being greatly pleased with you, what benediction can I give you? Whatever desires you have in regards to serving me and me alone, without self interest (akamaya)--with prema, O woman full of prema (kamini), are all fulfilled eternally." The alternate reading is bhamini, "o angry one," indicating that she was angry because he made obstacles to her service with his crooked words. The use of the word "unalloyed devotee" ( ekanta bhakta) excludes material meanings to the words kaman and kamayase.

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

Since I am most pleased with you, what benediction should I give you? Whatever qualities and wealth you desire for pastimes of prema (akāmāya) are yours. This is understood from akāmaḥ sarva-kāmo vā: one should worship the Lord whether having no desires or all desires. (SB 2.3.10) O kāmini (alternative to bhāmini)! You have most excellent young girl qualified for my service since you have prema for me. Or, you are most dear to me because of your equal love for me, who have love for you. If the version is bhāmini (O angry woman!) then he describes her condition to appease her anger. These qualities exist in you as your nature (eva). They are eternally present. You desire qualities for pastimes of prema because you are endowed with niṣkāma-bhakti (ekānta-bhaktāyāḥ). Therefore you are eternally auspicious. O most auspicious woman (kalyāni)!

An emperor signs every blank petition his queen will ever submit. 'Whatever benedictions you ask for, in order to become free of desires, are yours.' The clause 'in order to become free of desires' is crucial — He grants infinite boons, all of them shaped by akāma, the form of bhakti that wants only Him.
