  • viśva-vit — knower of all that is
Compound: viśva (all, universe) + vit (knower). Kṛṣṇa's standing epithet for omniscience. Gauḍīyas read its placement here as a doctrinal flag: He was never actually mystified; the prior searching was līlā, not ignorance.
  • vidhi-kṛtam — done by Vidhi (Brahmā)
Compound: vidhi (Brahmā, lit. 'ordainer') + kṛta (done). Brahmā is named here by his function-title vidhi — the one who ordains. Kṛṣṇa identifies him by what he is in the cosmos: ironic, since 'the ordainer' has just tried to ordain something outside the divine plan.
  • sahasā — immediately
Adverb. The instant Kṛṣṇa decides to recognize, He recognizes. No deliberation, no clue-collecting. The Lord's 'finding out' is a movement of will, not of inquiry.
  • avajagāma — He came to understand
Perfect of ava-√gam (lit. 'descended into'). To understand is to 'come down into.' Gauḍīyas hear the metaphor: knowing is not floating above but entering.
  • antaḥ-vipine — deep in the forest
Compound: antaḥ (inside) + vipine (in the woods). The same antaḥ-vana of verse 12, now extended. The forest's depth is where the līlā's deepest move occurs.
When Kṛṣṇa was unable to find the calves and their caretakers, the cowherd boys, anywhere in the forest, He could suddenly understand that this was the work of Lord Brahmā.

Although Kṛṣṇa is viśva-vit, the knower of everything happening in the entire cosmic manifestation, as an innocent child He showed ignorance of Brahmā’s actions, although He could immediately understand that these were the doings of Brahmā. This pastime is called brahma-vimohana, the bewilderment of Brahmā. Brahmā was already bewildered by Kṛṣṇa’s activities as an innocent child, and now he would be further bewildered.

Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
When Kṛṣṇa was unable to find the calves and their caretakers, the cowherd boys, anywhere in the forest, He could suddenly understand that this was the work of Lord Brahmā.
Commentary

This verse show why Krsna began searching further. Though Krsna is omniscient, not seeing the calves in other fields and not seeing the boys on other banks, he began searching. Did Krsna understand the theft at the time of stealing, after the theft or after looking for some time? Without having to think (sahasa), at the very time of the theft, Krsna could understand that it was theft, and that Brahma had done it.

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

He could not see them in the forest. At noon time, it was impossible that they would return to Vraja without him. Suddenly he understood everything (sarvam). He underetood that Brahmā had bewildered the boys and had taken them away, that Brahmā had disappeared and that Brahmā desired to see his powers. Ha! It was clear. He understood since he was omniscient (viśva-vit), since he was Kṛṣṇa, Svayam Bhagavān. His jṣāna-śakti remained on the side without interfering on seeing that Kṛṣṇa was absorbed in pastimes of externally looking for the boys. When the desire appeared in Kṛṣṇa’s mind to find them, the jṣāna-śakti then approached him, seeing its opportunity for service. This is because all śaktis of the Lord are dependent on his iccha-śakti (desire śakti).

A master locksmith who, finding his shop emptied, knows instantly which apprentice was here — Kṛṣṇa, the viśva-vit, recognizes Brahmā's signature in the theft the way a fingerprint identifies a hand. Omniscience consented to wait until the līlā arrived at this moment.
