Important Words
-
didṛkṣavaḥ
—
eager to see (You)
Desiderative noun from dṛś — those who wish to see. Darśana-icchā — the desire to see Bhagavān — is the Gauḍīya hallmark of awakened bhakti. The devas come not for the yajña but for Him.
-
kratu-vare
—
in the best of sacrifices
Kratu-vara — supreme kratu. Same as makha-indra in the previous verse, restated. The Rājasūya is the kratu-vara because Bhagavān will be its centre, not because of its outward grandeur.
-
yaśasvinaḥ
—
the glorious (kings)
Yaśasvin — possessing yaśas. The glorious kings will come — but their yaśas is borrowed; they themselves will see at the rite the source of all yaśas (Kṛṣṇa). The hierarchy of glory will be visible.
-
sameṣyanti
—
will come together
Sam + i — to come together. Bhakti is gregarious; bhakti-yajña gathers. The Gauḍīya saṅkīrtana-yajña (cf. CC Ādi 17) inherits this gathering principle: any gathering for Bhagavān is the true Rājasūya.
O Lord, exalted demigods and glorious kings, eager to see You, will all come to that best of sacrifices.
Purport
The ācāryas explain that Nārada here means to say that since all the great personalities will come especially to see Lord Kṛṣṇa, He should also come to that sacrifice.

Gauḍīya
Translation
O Lord, exalted demigods and glorious kings, eager to see You, will all come to that best of sacrifices.
Commentary
Giving permission for the ceremony but remaining here is not good. You should go there.
Jīva Gosvāmī
Gauḍīya
Commentary
Yaśasvinaḥ means “having good conduct.”
Śrīdhara Svāmī
Gauḍīya
Commentary
Even devatās (vai) as well as humans (ādayaḥ), who are well behaved (yaśasvinaḥ) will come, desiring to see only you.

Personal Guidance
Demigods and kings would come, eager to see Kṛṣṇa. Great sacrifices gather everyone — and the Lord at the center makes them worth gathering for. We attend events less for the program than for who will be there.
Reflection Questions
- Whom do my favorite gatherings ultimately revolve around?
- What would change if my events centered Kṛṣṇa?
Analogy
The Rājasūya will draw devas and kings 'eager to see You' (didṛkṣavaḥ) the way a single lamp on a still night draws every moth in the field. Bhagavān's presence converts any gathering into darśana-yajña.
