Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
King Indra, in anger, immediately took up his thunderbolt to kill Cyavana. But Cyavana paralyzed Indra's arm that held the thunderbolt. Without considering, Indra suddenly became angry and took up his thunderbolt.
Indra, furious that the Aśvins are being included, lifts his thunderbolt — but Cyavana paralyzes his arm. Higher principle, when defended by a saint, can freeze even a king of heaven mid-strike.

  • Where am I striking out from position rather than principle?
  • Who in my life would I let arrest my own raised hand for a higher good?
