six kinds of enjoyable material opulence.
For eighty-five thousand years, Kārtavīryārjuna continuously enjoyed material opulences with full bodily strength and unimpaired memory. In other words, he enjoyed inexhaustible material opulences with his six senses.

Translation
For eighty-five thousand years, Kārtavīryārjuna, with inexhaustible strength, by memory of whom ones wealth becomes indestructible, enjoyed imperishable objects of the six senses.
Anaṣṭa-vitta-smaraṇaḥ means “a person by remembering whom, ones wealth is not destroyed.” He enjoyed undecaying objects of the six senses.
Personal Guidance
For eighty-five thousand years he enjoys without loss of memory or strength. Even the longest possible enjoyment career, executed at full power, eventually meets its Paraśurāma — there is no exit from this arrangement via more duration.
Reflection Questions
- Why would I imagine more duration of pleasure will solve what brief duration could not?
- Where am I still asking for 'more time to enjoy' rather than for liberation from the loop?
