No other king in this world could equal Kārtavīryārjuna in sacrifices, charity, austerity, mystic power, education, strength or mercy.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
No other king in this world could equal Kārtavīryārjuna in sacrifices, charity, austerity, mystic power, education, strength or mercy.
No other king equaled Kārtavīryārjuna in sacrifices, charity, austerity, mystic power, education, strength, or mercy. The full bundle of virtues was present — and yet he still went wrong in one moment with a cow.
Reflection Questions
  • Where am I assuming my own bundle of virtues will protect me from the one moment of foolishness?
  • What single weak spot would, if addressed, complete my present strengths?
