Translation
Seeing the superior good fortune of their enemies, the demons, unable to tolerate it, attacked the devatāṣ with raised weapons.
Personal Guidance
Seeing the demigods' superior opulence, the demons grew intolerant and raised weapons. Envy ignites when others receive what we missed. Defeated parties rarely accept defeat gracefully; they attack again.
Reflection Questions
- Whose recent success has triggered my envy and tempted me to attack — even quietly?
- Where am I 'raising weapons' against someone who already won fairly?
