O master of the entire world, when Indra could find no faults, he thought, “How will there be good fortune for me?” Thus he was full of deep anxiety.
Gauḍīya Ācāryas
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura
Gauḍīya
Translation
O master of the entire world! When Indra could find no faults, he became intensely worried. He thought, "How will there be good fortune for me?"
Personal Guidance
Finding no fault, Indra was anxious: how will good fortune come for me? Even when one's plan is to find a flaw, virtue's continuity is itself frustrating.
Reflection Questions
- Where am I frustrated that no flaw appears in someone I had hoped to bring down?
- What does my frustration reveal about my own intention?
