Thereafter, from the partial representation of Brahmā, the moon-god was born of them; from the partial representation of Viṣṇu, the great mystic Dattātreya was born; and from the partial representation of Śaṅkara [Lord Śiva], Durvāsā was born. Now you may hear from me of the many sons of Aṅgirā.

Translation
From Brahmā , Soma appeared. From Viṣṇu, Dattātreya appeared. The portion of Śiva was the knower of yogī Durvāsā. Now understand the descendents of Aṅgirā.

Personal Guidance
From the three partial representations came Soma, Dattātreya, and Durvāsā — one austerity bore three distinct fruits. Sincere tapas produces varied gifts you couldn't have planned. Trust the process beyond your blueprint.
Reflection Questions
- Am I willing to receive fruits of my sādhana in unexpected forms?
- What gifts of my practice have arrived that I didn't ask for?
