The ocean entered His abdomen with hunger and thirst, but the Cosmic Being refused to rise even then. The moon-god entered His heart with the mind, but the Cosmic Being would not be roused.

Gauḍīya
Translation
The ocean devatā along with the hunger and thirst organ entered the stomach but the universal form did not arise. Candra along with the mind entered the heart, but the universal form did not arise.
Personal Guidance
Ocean enters the abdomen with hunger and thirst; moon enters the heart with mind — still no rising. Even appetites and mental life fail to wake the Cosmic Being. Wanting things and thinking about them isn't enough.
Reflection Questions
- How much of my 'spiritual life' is actually just appetite and mental restlessness?
- What lies beyond hunger and mind that I haven't yet invited in?
