O saintly Vidura, while His enemy looked on, the Lord in His boar form, the enjoyer of all sacrificial offerings, playfully knocked down the mace with His left foot, even as it came upon Him with the force of a tempest.

Translation
O Vidura! The boar, the form of sacrifice, easily deflected the club which had the speed of the wind using his left foot, while the enemy watched.
Vāta-raṁhasam means “with the speed of the wind.”
Personal Guidance
The Lord in boar form playfully kicks the tempest-strong mace away with His left foot. What looks unstoppable to us is a toy to Him. Bring the unstoppable things in your life to the One who plays with them.
Reflection Questions
- What 'tempest' have I been bracing against that I could hand to the Lord?
- Does my picture of the Lord include the playfulness of His power?
