Translation
In the Dvāpara age, people are famous and have great qualities. They devote themselves to the study of the Vedas, possess great wealth, support large families and are joyful. Of the four classes, the kṣatriyas and brāhmaṇas are most numerous.
Dvāpara people value glory and nobility, study Vedas, support large families. Outwardly grand, but spiritually still slipping. The lesson: cultural richness alone is no protection if devotion isn't growing under it.
Reflection Questions
  • Am I confusing outer richness (family, learning, success) with inner growth?
  • What spiritual indicator actually tells me I'm growing?
