Translation
Indra advised Rohita that it was purifying to travel the earth with service to different pilgrimage sites. Rohita lived in the forest for one year.
Samām means a year.
Personal Guidance
Indra redirects Rohita's guilt into pilgrimage — pious wandering for a year. Sacred travel can be the Lord's way of using restless seasons to mature us.
Reflection Questions
- Could a season of pilgrimage — physical or mental — reshape what currently feels like aimless restlessness?
- Where might travel to a holy place be exactly the input I have been avoiding?
