Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: When the King offered prayers, the Sudarśana cakra which was burning the brāhmaṇa became completely peaceful because of the request. Though the cakra was burning the brāhmaṇa completely, it became peaceful.
The cakra responds not to Ambarīṣa's power but to his prayer. Forces that look implacable can be pacified the instant a devotee opens his mouth on behalf of another.
Reflection Questions
  • Is there a situation in my life I have given up on because it feels too 'set in motion' to change?
  • Whose intercessory prayer might I need today — and for whom should I be praying in turn?
