Translation
The son of Dvimīḍha (text 22) was Yavīnara, whose son was Kṛtimān. The son of Kṛtimān was well known as Satyadhṛti. From Satyadhṛti came a son named Dṛḍhanemi, who became the father of Supārśva.
Supārśva-kṛt means “he who gave birth to Supārśva.”
Personal Guidance
Yavīnara, Kṛtimān, Satyadhṛti, Dṛḍhanemi, Supārśva — yet another stretch of name-virtues. The Bhāgavatam is patient with lists; we should be patient in attention.
Reflection Questions
- What virtue do I most need to be reading and re-reading until it shapes me?
- Where could deliberate slowing through a long list strengthen the spiritual muscle of attention?
