Translation
The son of Akriya was known as Brahmavit. Now hear about the descendants of Anenā (another son of Āyu). From Anenā came a son named Śuddha, and his son was Śuci. The son of Śuci was Dharmasārathi, also called Citrakṛt.
Personal Guidance
Brahmavit ('knower of Brahman') appears in a list of mere names. Sometimes a single grand title is dropped into the middle of a roll, easy to miss — even brief mention of true brahma-jṣāna is itself a benediction in the text.
Reflection Questions
- Which 'small mentions' of profound qualities have I skimmed past in scripture and in people?
- Where could careful attention catch a glimpse of Brahmavit hiding in a list?
