O King, in the millennium of Raivata Manu the King of heaven was known as Vibhu, among the demigods were the Bhūtarayas, and among the seven brāhmaṇas who occupied the seven planets were Hiraṇyaromā, Vedaśirā and Ūrdhvabāhu.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
O King, in the millennium of Raivata Manu, the king of heaven was known as Vibhu, the devatās were the Bhūtarayas, and the seven sages were the brāhmaṇas headed by Hiraṇyaromā, Vedaśirā and Ūrdhvabāhu.
Each manvantara has its own Indra, demigods, and sages occupying the seven planets. Cosmic posts rotate among countless capable souls. No personality is irreplaceable; what is permanent is the office and its service to dharma.
Reflection Questions
  • Where am I clinging to my role as if no one could fill it after me?
  • How would I serve differently if I saw myself as a temporary holder of an eternal post?
