Translation
O Vipracitti, O Rāhu, O Nemi! Please hear my words! Don't fight. Stop immediately, for the present time is not in our favor.
Vipracitti, Rāhu, Nemi — hear me! Don't fight; stop. The time is not in our favor. Bali calls his commanders by name and orders cessation. Reading the time, he chooses retreat over heroic loss.
Reflection Questions
  • What current 'fight' of mine is being waged at an unfavorable time — and am I willing to call halt?
  • Where would naming my advisors directly, by name, help me actually stop them?
