When I finished performing mystic yoga for one thousand years, you asked me upon whom I was meditating. Now, here is that Supreme Person to whom time has no entrance and who the Vedas cannot understand.
Purport
Eternal time enters anywhere and everywhere, but it cannot enter the kingdom of god. Nor can the Vedas understand the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is an indication of the Lord’s being omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.

Translation
When I finished performing mystic yoga for one thousand years, you asked me upon whom I was meditating. Now, here is that Supreme Person whom time and the Vedas cannot approach.
Time enters everywhere, to influence everything. But it cannot influence the Lord. Though the Vedas know everything, they do not know the Lord. He is not approachable by time or the Vedas.

Personal Guidance
When my thousand-year yoga was complete, you asked whom I was meditating on. Here is that Supreme Person — time cannot enter Him; the Vedas cannot fully understand Him. The Lord beyond whom there is no further.
Reflection Questions
- Whose 'who are you meditating on?' question would I want answered with the Bhāgavatam's answer?
- Where in my practice am I still meditating on the wrong person?
