Although Prahlāda is only five years old, even at this young age he has given up his affectionate relationship with his father and mother. Therefore, he is certainly untrustworthy. Indeed, it is not at all believable that he will behave well toward Viṣṇu.

Translation
Although Prahlāda is only five years old, being unfit, he has given up the affection of his father and mother, difficult to reject. Will he put his faith in Viṣṇu?
Viṣṇu should not be believed. How could a person who is intelligent put faith in him?

Personal Guidance
He insists even a five-year-old who has given up affection for his parents cannot be trusted toward Viṣṇu either. The demonic mind cannot believe in love that crosses 'family lines.' To it, all devotion looks like defection.
Reflection Questions
- Where do you frame someone's wider love as betrayal of you?
- How can you let a loved one belong more deeply to the Lord without feeling abandoned?
