O my dear one, the most powerful sage Kaśyapa, being extremely pleased by the mild behavior of his wife Diti, smiled and spoke to her as follows.

Translation
O dear one! Powerful Kaśyapa, being extremely pleased after being served by his wife, smiled, and, welcoming her, spoke as follows.
Kaśyapa, extremely pleased with Diti's mild behavior, smiled and addressed her. The right inner state in the partner draws the right speech.
Reflection Questions
  • What inner state of mine elicits the speech I most want from another?
  • Where am I trying to get speech by force rather than by inner alignment?
