Translation
Unaware of the sinful act of her co-wives, Queen Kṛtadyuti walked about in the house, looking at her son, thinking that he was sleeping.
Unaware of the poison, Kṛtadyuti walked thinking the boy was deeply asleep. We often fail to recognize the moment a catastrophe has already happened.
Reflection Questions
  • What 'deep sleep' am I assuming when in fact something has stopped?
  • Whom should I check on right now rather than later?
