Translation
Losing discretion because of hatred and being intolerant of the King, those cruel women gave poison to the young child
Durmarṣāḥ means intolerant.
Personal Guidance
Losing intelligence, hardhearted, unable to bear the king's neglect, they administered poison to the child. Envy unaddressed becomes literal violence.
Reflection Questions
- What 'poison' have I been tempted to administer when neglected?
- Where did I stop short, and what stopped me?
