The Lord is decorated with small golden bells around His waist, and His lotus feet are decorated with golden ankle bells. All His bodily features are very attractive and pleasing to the eyes. He is always peaceful, calm and quiet and very pleasing to the eyes and the mind.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
His waist is surrounded by small bells, and he wears shining golden anklets. He is pleasing to see, peaceful, and joyful for the mind and eyes. Kāñcī-kalāpa-paryastam means “surrounded by a belt of small bells.”
Golden bells around His waist, ankle bells, peaceful and quiet — every feature pleasing to eye and mind. The Lord doesn't just save; He charms. Beauty itself is part of how He works on us.

  • Which detail of the Lord could become my anchor when my mind is restless?
  • Where am I letting the noise of life crowd out exposure to such pleasing beauty?
