Some blocked the way of the fleeing sages, some threatened the women assembled there, and some arrested the demigods who were fleeing the pandal.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Others harassed the sages, while others shouted at the women. Others caught the devaṭās who had fled nearby. They scolded the women with coarse language or by saving, “Stay here, and we will make you widows.”
Some blocked fleeing sages, some threatened women, some arrested demigods — even the bystanders to offense face consequence. Complicity by silence in Dakṣa's assembly cost the silent. Speak when you see offense being prepared.
Reflection Questions
  • Where did I stay silent while an offense was being prepared, and what is that costing me now?
  • What current situation calls for me to speak before the consequences begin?
