O great Vidura.
Gati, the wife of the sage Pulaha, gave birth to three sons, named Karmaśreṣṭha, Varīyān and Sahiṣṇu, and all of them were great sages.
Purport
Gati, the wife of Pulaha, was the fifth daughter of Kardama Muni. She was very faithful to her husband, and all her sons were as good as he.

Translation
O Vidura! Gati, the wife of the sage Pulaha, gave birth to three pure sons, named Karmaśreṣṭha, Varīyān and Sahiṣṇu.
Personal Guidance
Gati's three sons were all great sages — when both parents are saintly, every child reflects that culture. Spiritual atmosphere at home is more determinative than any school.
Reflection Questions
- What spiritual atmosphere is steady in my home regardless of circumstance?
- Am I outsourcing my children's culture to institutions instead of cultivating it daily?
