My dear son, since you have inquired from me, I have answered. O sinless one, the descriptions of Kapiladeva and His mother and their activities are the purest of all pure discourses.

Translation
O sinless Vidura! As requested by you, I have spoken about the pure conversation between Kapila and Devahūti.
Personal Guidance
Maitreya tells Vidura that this discussion of Kapila and Devahūti is the purest of all pure discourses. Some narrations are not only informative — they purify the listener. Choose what you hear with discernment.
Reflection Questions
- Which discourses in my life are merely informative, and which are actually purifying?
- How can I weight my listening toward the purifying ones?
