Upon a branch of the northeast portion of that tree he saw an infant boy lying within a leaf. The child’s effulgence was swallowing up the darkness.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Upon a branch of the northeast portion of that tree he saw, lying on a leaf, an infant boy whose effulgence swallowed up the darkness.
On a northeast branch, in a leaf, lies a glowing infant boy whose effulgence swallows the darkness. The Lord arrives in unexpected smallness; we look for thunder, He gives a baby.
Reflection Questions
  • Where am I missing the Lord because I expect Him bigger?
  • What 'glowing baby' might He be presenting in my life right now?
