Translation
While wandering in the water, the brāhmaṇa Mārkaṇḍeya saw a small island, upon which stood a young banyan tree, radiant with leaves and fruits.
Personal Guidance
While wandering, Markandeya discovers a small island with a young banyan tree bearing flowers and fruits. In the middle of the flood, the Lord plants a particular island — a tiny relief and a sign. Grace can be small and very located.
Reflection Questions
- What 'small island' has the Lord planted in my current flood?
- Have I noticed it, or am I still scanning the horizon?
