Next the great fire of annihilation will flare up from the mouth of Lord Saṅkarṣaṇa. Carried by the mighty force of the wind, this fire will burn throughout the universe, scorching the lifeless cosmic shell.

Next the great fire of annihilation, rising from the mouth of Saṅkarṣaṇa and increased by the force of the wind, will burn the universe, scorching the lifeless planets.
Personal Guidance
From the mouth of Sankarsana rises the fire of annihilation. The same Lord who manifests the universe also withdraws it. Recognizing this single source of all becoming and unbecoming brings strange peace amid every change.
Reflection Questions
- Do I see the unmaking of things in my life as random or as held by a higher hand?
- What changes in my response to loss when I sense even endings come from Him?
