Translation
Sūta Gosvāmī said: Thus worshiped and glorified by the eloquent statements of the sage Mārkaṇḍeya, Śiva, encouraged by his consort, replied to him as follows.
Siva, encouraged by his consort, replies to the eloquent sage. Even at the highest level, partnership and encouragement matter. We should not underestimate how much another's nudge enables our blessing of others.
Reflection Questions
  • Whose 'nudge' helps me be generous when I might otherwise hold back?
  • Whom could I nudge similarly today?
