Translation
Sūta Gosvāmī said: Śiva, traveling in the sky on his bull and accompanied by his consort, as well as his personal associates, observed resolute Mārkaṇḍeya.
Lord Siva passes through the sky on his bull with Rudrani and his associates, and notices the sage in trance. Even Mahadeva pauses for a devotee absorbed in samadhi. Holy stillness draws the high to come close.
Reflection Questions
  • Whose 'holy stillness' have I been drawn to recently?
  • How can I cultivate a little more of it in my own day?
