Translation
Anyone who steals the property of the Lord or the brāhmaṇas, whether originally given to them by himself or someone else, must live as a worm in stool for one hundred million years.
The various results for someone who gives wealth or land for worshipping the Lord have been stated. The result for a person who takes away the property of the Lord is now stated.
Personal Guidance
Whoever steals demigod or brāhmaṇa property — even originally given by oneself — lives as a worm in stool for a hundred million years. The penalty is severe and named.
Reflection Questions
- Where have I taken back what I had given to the Lord or sacred persons?
- What restitution might be due?
