  • bhojayitvā-vara-annena — having fed (them) with excellent food
Three consecutive synonym-chunks. Anna-prasāda from Bhagavān's own arrangement: the kings who had been kṣut-kṣāmāḥ (v.4) are now fed by His hand — the verse closes that loop deliberately.
  • samalaṅkṛtān — well decorated
Sam + alaṅkṛta. Full ornamentation. Vaiṣṇava aesthetics: not minimum dignity, but full beauty restored.
  • tāmbūla-ādyaiḥ — with betel nut and so on
Tāmbūla is the post-meal offering. Its mention is a tenderness — Bhagavān as perfect host, attentive to the small final courtesy.
  • nṛpa-ucitaiḥ — befitting kings
The qualifier is repeated from v.25 — Kṛṣṇa is precise about role-appropriate restoration. Bhakti does not flatten station; it sanctifies it.
After they had been properly bathed and adorned, Lord Kṛṣṇa saw to it that they dined on excellent food. He also presented them with various items befitting the pleasure of kings, such as betel nut.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
After they had been properly bathed and adorned, Lord Kṛṣṇa saw to it that they dined on excellent food. He also presented them with various items befitting the pleasure of kings, such as betel nut.
Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

What did he do before honoring them? They were shaved and rubbed with oil on their limbs, including their heads. They then bathe. They were then ornamented with clothing, ornaments, garlands and ointments. They were then fed. After that they were offered betel nut, fruits, roots and various drinks.

Jiva
Kṛṣṇa saw to it that they dined on excellent food and gave them pleasures suitable for kings. Honoring those we have served includes feeding them well; care extends through the senses, not just the soul.
Reflection Questions
  • Where could my care for others include attention to their bodily comfort and enjoyment?
  • What sensory gesture would honor someone today?

Bhagavān does not merely free; He hosts. The same Hand that turned time against Jarāsandha now arranges betel after dinner. The detail of tāmbūla — a host's last small gift — shows that mokṣa-from-jail and proper hospitality belong to the same Person.
