  • niryāta — please go out
Imperative of nir + √yā — to go forth. Kṛṣṇa releases Vraja from shelter back into the open. The hand that lifted the hill now lifts the curfew. The Gauḍīya note: the Lord's protection includes the moment of letting His people walk again.
  • tyajata trāsam — give up fear
tyaja (give up) + trāsa (fear). Kṛṣṇa explicitly issues the command — abhayaṁ, the gift He elsewhere offers Arjuna (Bg 18.66's promise). Vraja receives the same gift in two words from under the same hand.
  • vi - uda — without water
vi (without) + uda (water). The floodwaters have drained. Gauḍīya commentators love the symmetry: Indra unleashed jala-ogha, Kṛṣṇa now reports it vi-uda — the verbal mirror image is exact.
  • nimnagāḥ — the rivers
nimna (low-flowing) + gā (going). The 'low-going ones' — rivers. The Yamunā in particular, holy in Gauḍīya theology, has subsided. The verse names the elements one by one as a teacher closing a register: each item accounted for.
[Lord Kṛṣṇa said:] My dear cowherd men, please go out with your wives, children and possessions. Give up your fear. The wind and rain have stopped, and the rivers’ high waters have subsided.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
[Lord Kṛṣṇa said:] My dear cowherd men, please go out with your wives, children and possessions. Give up your fear. The wind and rain have stopped, and the rivers' high waters have subsided.
Commentary

Vyudapraya means the river water became low.

Jīva Gosvāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

O cowherd, who have protected the cows from the rain! That the rivers have decreased their waters is not astonishing since the heat of Kṛṣṇa’s power has made the showering waters shrink. Without him doing that, the clouds of universal destruction would have inundated everything. Dhana refers to cows or cows and their other wealth.

Śrīdhara Svāmī Gauḍīya
Commentary

O cowherds, who have protected the cows from the rain! Go out with the women, wealth or cows, and the children. The rivers swollen by rain have subsided (vyuda-prāyāḥ). This means that water had left the land.

'Go out with your wives, children, possessions. Give up fear. Wind and rain have stopped; rivers have receded.' Specific permission to resume normal life after danger — the Lord reopens ordinary motion.
Reflection Questions
  • What ordinary motion am I still refusing to resume after a passed danger?
  • Where would I act differently today if I trusted His 'go out' as already given?

Kṛṣṇa speaks to His people the way a father speaks after a fire has been put out — go out, the danger is over, take the children. The Lord who held the hill for seven days now arranges the small logistics of return: wagons, wives, rivers. Aiśvarya recedes; vātsalya gets the closing word.
