Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.12.25
Blended reading (Sanskrit + English inline)
-
akhila-bhūta-hṛt-sthitaḥ
—
situated in the heart of all beings
Compound: akhila (all) + bhūta (being) + hṛt (heart) + sthita (situated). The technical Paramātmā-vāda formulation. Gauḍīyas: Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa is simultaneously the boy walking among them AND the antaryāmī inside everyone — acintya-bhedābheda live in one verse.
-
svānām
—
of His own
From sva (one's own). The cowherd boys are sva — Kṛṣṇa's own. Possessive in the rasa-sense: relationship of belonging. Gauḍīyas insist on this — devotees are not 'others' to Kṛṣṇa but svajana, His own people.
-
niroddhum
—
to stop
From ni + rudh- (to restrain). Kṛṣṇa wants to restrain His friends — protective instinct. Significantly, the verse ends with niroddhum manaḥ dadhe ('He set His mind to restrain'); but in verse 26 they enter anyway, faster than His thought.
-
bhagavān
—
the Supreme Personality of Godhead
The technical full title. Inserted at the moment Kṛṣṇa decides to act as Lord, not just as friend. Gauḍīyas distinguish bhagavattā (His Lordship) and mādhurya (His sweetness); both are in Him simultaneously, and Bhāgavatam toggles vocabulary as the situation requires.
Hearing the boys discuss about the real snake as if it were something else Krsna began to think. "What is really a snake’s mouth they are thinking is some scenic part of Vrndavan, not a snake’s mouth. This is not just a snake, but the demon called Aghasura. " How did he know this? Because he is situated in everyone’s heart (akhila bhuta hrt sthitah) as paramatma, knowing everything. He then decided to prevent them (svanam) from entering.
Hearing the speech of his friends, who were acting like ignorant people, hearing that speech which was false, since truly (amṛṣā) the gaping mouth of the snake shone with brilliance (mṛṣāyate) in Vṛndāvana, and knowing it was not only a python but the Rākṣasa named Agha, since he was in everyone’s heart as Paramātmā, was the inspiration for all things and was endowed with all powers (bhagavān), he wanted to prevent them.

- If I knew Kṛṣṇa heard every word I just said today, what would I say differently from here?
- Where am I treating Kṛṣṇa as if He were elsewhere, when He is in the core of the very heart speaking?
Picture a father who hears his children, several rooms away, discussing whether the trapdoor is real — and rises to intervene. Kṛṣṇa as antaryāmī is not far in the heart; He is the listener of every word, including the ones spoken by His friends about a danger they cannot see clearly. The verse marks the moment Vraja-līlā tips: until now Kṛṣṇa was a peer, here He is also the Lord considering His own role.
